Biomedical Equipment Technician II
Contract-to-Direct
Leading Minneapolis area healthcare provider is searching for a seasoned
Electronic Biomedical Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of EKG, CT scanners and related equipment. This position will include working on electronic components, wiring and interface mechanisms for biomedical equipment to include troubleshooting, and documentation of issues.
This is an excellent contract-to-direct position.

Requirements for this opportunity include:

· Associates degree in Electronics/biomedical engineering or related training required
· Minimum three years of experience working on biomedical equipment such at EKG’s, CT scanners, etc. required
· Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to solve problems individually

Biomedical Technician
University of Minnesota Medical Center, FairviewMinneapolis, MN
has a full-time opening for a Biomedical Technician to be responsible for the repair of a variety of electronic and biomedical equipment within the organization. This individual will perform all safety and performance assurance testing on equipment to ensure a safe environment for the patients, visitors and staff of UMMC. The Biomedical Technician assists users in the proper operation of equipment, and makes recommendations for equipment purchases.
Required Qualifications:
" Associate's degree in Electronics Technology program or equivalent experience.
" Working knowledge of standard computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
" Familiarity with regulatory agencies.
" Excellent communication, negotiating, training, coaching and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
" Associate's degree in Biomedical Electronics.
" 1-3 years of experience in a medical center/hospital environment.
